1. Insert the key into the ignition.
Make sure the key is inserted all the way into the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the "On" position.
Do not start the engine.
3. Press and hold the lock button on the key for 10 seconds.
The LED light on the key will start flashing.
4. Release the lock button.
The LED light will stop flashing and the key will be reset.
5. Remove the key from the ignition.
You can now use the key to start the engine.
If the key is still not working, you may need to reprogram it. You can do this by taking the car to a Volkswagen dealership or automotive locksmith.
