* Wiring Harness: The wiring harness for the 2.5L is specifically designed for it; no other engine's harness will simply plug in. Extensive rewiring is necessary.
* Computer/ECU: The computer controlling the 2.5L won't be compatible with any other engine. You'll need a compatible ECU and potentially a stand-alone engine management system.
* Exhaust System: Exhaust manifolds and piping will almost certainly need to be custom fabricated or sourced from aftermarket suppliers.
While some people have attempted swaps with similar-sized engines, it's a significant undertaking requiring extensive mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills. It's far from a simple "swap".
