Will 4t80e trans work with lsx engines?

The 4T80E transmission is not a direct bolt-up for LSX engines. While it *can* be made to work, it requires significant modification and custom fabrication. The 4T80E was designed for different engine families (primarily the Northstar V8 in Cadillac and some Buick applications) and its bellhousing pattern doesn't match that of LS engines.

You would need an adapter plate to mate the 4T80E to an LSX engine, and this is not a simple or readily available part. You'll also likely need custom driveshafts and potentially other modifications to the transmission's control system. The cost and complexity of this conversion significantly outweigh the benefits for most applications. Other transmissions are far better suited and easier to adapt to LSX engines.
