Location of oil pressure sending unit on a 2001 Ranger V6 4.0L XLT?

The oil pressure sending unit on a 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0L V6 XLT is located on the driver's side (left side) of the engine block, near the oil filter. It's a relatively small unit with one or two wires connected to it. You'll likely need to look closely and perhaps use a flashlight to spot it. It's usually a single-wire sensor for the gauge and might have a second wire for a warning light (if equipped).
