How do you open the bonnet on a ford transit van?

The location of the bonnet release varies slightly depending on the year and model of your Ford Transit van. However, it's usually found in one of two places:

* Inside the cabin: Look for a lever, usually under the dashboard on the driver's side, near the steering column or the footwell. It might be clearly labeled "bonnet" or have a bonnet-shaped symbol. Pulling this lever will release the bonnet catch.

* Under the dashboard: In some models, the release is a small pull-tab or lever located under the dashboard on the driver's side. You may need to reach under the dash to find it.

After releasing the catch:

Once you've found and pulled the release lever, you'll need to lift the bonnet. There's usually a small lip or protrusion near the front edge of the bonnet. Gently lift up on this to open the bonnet. It might take a little effort initially, as it's held in place by a support strut.

If you can't find the release lever, consult your Ford Transit's owner's manual. It will have a diagram showing the exact location. You can also search online for "Ford Transit [year] bonnet release" to find videos or pictures that may help.
