What acts as a choke on fuel injected engine?

In a fuel-injected engine, the throttle plate acts as a choke. While not exactly the same as a carburetor's choke, it restricts airflow into the engine. This restriction indirectly controls the amount of fuel delivered, as the fuel injectors are typically calibrated to provide a specific air/fuel ratio. By limiting airflow, the throttle plate effectively limits the fuel flow as well, controlling engine speed and power.
