The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on a 1998 Ford F-150 with a 4.6L engine is located on the throttle body. The throttle body is typically found on the intake manifold, at the point where the air intake tube connects to the engine. The TPS itself is a small sensor, usually mounted on the side of the throttle body. It will have a wiring harness connected to it.
