To be certain:
1. Check your owner's manual: It should specify if your truck came equipped with one.
2. Look near the thermostat housing: The heater cord will usually be visible (if installed) running from the block heater to a plug somewhere near the front of the engine.
3. Visually inspect the engine block: The block heater itself is a relatively small, cylindrical element that screws into the block. It might be partially concealed by other components.
If you don't see a cord or the heater element itself, it's highly likely your truck did not come with a factory-installed block heater. You can always have one professionally installed if desired.
