1997 Pontiac Grand Prix-How do you put a power steering pulley back on?

To put a power steering pulley back on a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, you will need the following tools:

- A socket wrench with a 13mm socket

- A torque wrench

- A breaker bar

- A pry bar

- A rag

- A new power steering pulley

Instructions:

1. Locate the power steering pulley on the front of the engine. It is a round metal disk with a groove in it for the power steering belt.

2. Use the breaker bar to loosen the bolt that holds the power steering pulley in place. You may need to use the pry bar to help loosen the bolt.

3. Once the bolt is loose, use the socket wrench to remove it. Be careful not to drop the bolt.

4. Slide the old power steering pulley off of the shaft.

5. Clean the shaft of the power steering pulley with the rag.

6. Apply a small amount of grease to the shaft of the power steering pulley.

7. Slide the new power steering pulley onto the shaft.

8. Use the socket wrench to tighten the bolt that holds the power steering pulley in place. Tighten the bolt to 27 foot-pounds of torque.

9. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, you have successfully installed the power steering pulley.
