Instructions:
1. Disconnect the Battery:
- Begin by disconnecting the negative terminal of the car battery. This step is crucial to avoid any accidental electrical shocks while working on the instrument cluster.
2. Remove the Steering Wheel Cover:
- Remove the steering wheel cover by carefully prying it off using a pry tool or slotted screwdriver. Be cautious not to damage any clips or fasteners.
3. Remove the Instrument Cluster Cover:
- Behind the steering wheel, locate the instrument cluster cover. Use the pry tool or slotted screwdriver to remove any screws or clips holding the cover in place. Gently remove the cover to reveal the instrument cluster.
4. Unscrew the Instrument Cluster:
- There will be several screws securing the instrument cluster to the dashboard. Unscrew these screws carefully and set them aside.
5. Disconnect the Wiring Connectors:
- Once the instrument cluster is loose, carefully disconnect any electrical wiring connectors that are attached to it. Label each connector so that you can reconnect them properly later.
6. Remove the Instrument Cluster:
- Once all wiring connectors are disconnected, you can carefully lift the instrument cluster out from the dashboard. Be gentle as you maneuver it, as there may be additional cables attached.

- Carefully align the replacement RPM needle's base with the speedometer mechanism and press it gently until it is securely in place.
11. Reassemble the Cluster:
- Reassemble the instrument cluster in reverse order of how you disassembled it. Make sure to securely fasten all screws or tabs.
12. Reconnect Wiring Connectors:
- Reconnect the electrical wiring connectors that you disconnected earlier, ensuring they are properly aligned.
13. Reinstall the Instrument Cluster:
- Place the instrument cluster back in its position in the dashboard and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
14. Reinstall the Instrument Cluster Cover:
- Reinstall the instrument cluster cover by aligning it properly and fastening the screws or clips that hold it in place.
15. Reinstall the Steering Wheel Cover:
- Snap the steering wheel back onto its hub, ensuring that it is securely in place.
16. Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the car battery.
17. Test the RPM Needle:
- Start the vehicle and ensure that the RPM tachometer needle is correctly displaying the engine revolutions.
