- Replacement radiator hose
- Hose clamp pliers
- Flathead screwdriver
- New coolant (if necessary)
- Funnel
Instructions:
1. Park your Pathfinder on a level surface and allow the engine to cool down completely. If the engine is still hot, there is a risk of burns.
2. Open the hood of your Pathfinder.
3. Locate the lower radiator hose. It is typically located at the bottom of the radiator, on the driver's side.
4. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the hose clamps that secure the lower radiator hose to the radiator and water pump.
5. Once the hose clamps are loose, remove the old hose by pulling it off of the radiator and water pump.
6. Clean the hose connection points on the radiator and water pump with a clean cloth.
7. Install the new lower radiator hose by pushing it onto the radiator and water pump connection points.
8. Secure the new hose with the hose clamps you removed earlier.
9. Tighten the hose clamps until they are snug.
10. Check for leaks by running the engine for a few minutes. If you see any leaks, tighten the hose clamps until the leak stops.
11. Re-check the coolant level and add more if necessary.
12. Close the hood of your Pathfinder and you're done!
