How to Replace an Ignition Switch in a 1991 Honda CRX

1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent you from accidentally starting the car while you're working on it.

2. Remove the steering column cover. There are two screws on the bottom of the cover, and one on each side.

3. Locate the ignition switch. It's located on the right side of the steering column, behind the steering wheel.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition switch. There are two connectors, one on the top and one on the bottom.

5. Remove the two bolts that hold the ignition switch in place. They're located on either side of the switch.

6. Pull the ignition switch out of the steering column.

9. Replace the steering column cover.

10. Reconnect the battery.
