2. Remove the shift knob. There is a small button on the side of the shift knob. Press this button and pull up on the shift knob to remove it.
3. Remove the console trim. There are two screws that hold the console trim in place. Remove these screws and then pry the trim off gently with a flat-head screwdriver.
4. Replace the light bulb. The light bulb is located behind the console trim. To access the light bulb, you may have to remove a plastic cover. Once you have access to the light bulb, simply twist it counterclockwise to remove it. Then, insert the new light bulb and twist it clockwise until it is secure.
5. Reinstall the console trim. Align the console trim with the holes in the dashboard and then press it into place. Make sure to replace the two screws that you removed earlier.
6. Reinstall the shift knob. Align the shift knob with the gearshift lever and then press down until it snaps into place.
