- Brake fluid switch malfunction:
> Inspect the brake fluid level sensor/switch located near the reservoir/master cylinder. There can be issues within the switching unit or float. Additionally, there can also be an electrical contact issue (short, low voltage).
- Brake line air: Air introduced into the lines through worn-out connections/hoses might result in improper or inconsistent pressure sensor reading resulting in the warning light remaining lit.
- Worn Brake Pads: In some models this may also indicate extremely worn down brake pads and may not necessarily reflect brake fluid level.
