- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube and support bracket.
- Remove the fuel injector electrical connectors and position the wiring harness aside.
- Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connectors.
- Remove the ignition coils and spark plugs.
- Remove the front engine accessory drive belt.
- Remove the harmonic balancer.
- The crankshaft position sensor is positioned on the back of the engine block. Unscrew the sensor assembly mounting bolt and remove the sensor.
