1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the spark plugs.
3. Remove the coil packs.
4. Inspect the coil packs for any signs of damage, such as cracks or arcing.
5. Measure the resistance of the primary and secondary windings of each coil pack. The primary winding should be between 0.5 and 1.5 ohms, and the secondary winding should be between 5,000 and 10,000 ohms.
6. If any of the coil packs are not within specifications, replace them.
7. Reinstall the coil packs, spark plugs, and negative battery terminal.
