How do you loosen a tensioner on 95 aerostar?

To loosen the tensioner on a 1995 Aerostar, follow these steps:

1. Locate the tensioner. The tensioner is located on the front of the engine, near the top. It is a black or silver cylinder with a pulley wheel on one end.

2. Find the tensioner adjustment bolt. The adjustment bolt is located on the side of the tensioner. It is a small bolt with a 10mm head.

3. Loosen the tensioner adjustment bolt. Use a 10mm wrench to turn the adjustment bolt counterclockwise. This will loosen the tension on the serpentine belt.

4. Remove the serpentine belt. Once the tensioner is loose, you can remove the serpentine belt. To do this, simply slip the belt off of the pulleys.

5. Replace the serpentine belt. If you are replacing the serpentine belt, now is the time to do so. To install the new belt, simply slip it over the pulleys and then tighten the tensioner adjustment bolt.

6. Tighten the tensioner adjustment bolt. Once the new belt is installed, tighten the tensioner adjustment bolt clockwise until the belt is snug.

Here are some additional tips for loosening the tensioner on a 1995 Aerostar:

* If the tensioner is difficult to turn, you may need to use a breaker bar to loosen it.

* Be careful not to over-tighten the tensioner adjustment bolt. This could damage the belt.

* If you are replacing the serpentine belt, be sure to get the correct size belt. The wrong size belt could slip off of the pulleys.
