3. Replace the clutch friction plates. If the friction plates are worn out, they can also cause the clutch to slip and squeal. To replace the friction plates, follow these steps:
a. Remove the clutch assembly from the scooter.
b. Remove the old friction plates from the clutch assembly.
c. Install the new friction plates according to the manufacturer's instructions.
d. Reinstall the clutch assembly and check the clutch operation.
4. Inspect the clutch basket. If the clutch basket is damaged or worn out, it can also cause the clutch to squeal. If the clutch basket is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
