Where must a suction line drier be placed in heat pump after motor burnout?

Suction line driers are generally not required after a heat pump motor burnout, but they can be installed if the system has been contaminated by refrigerant breakdown products or other debris. However, if a suction line drier is installed, it must be placed in the suction line at a location where the refrigerant temperature will not exceed 125°F (52°C) and the pressure does not exceed 350 PSI.
