Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
3. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan and place the oil drain pan underneath.
4. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.
5. Allow the oil to drain completely into the oil drain pan.
6. Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
7. Locate the oil filter on the side of the engine and place the oil filter wrench on the filter.
8. Turn the oil filter wrench counterclockwise to loosen and remove the oil filter.
9. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
10. Screw the new oil filter onto the oil filter mount and tighten it securely by hand.
11. Use the funnel to add the new oil into the engine.
12. Check the oil level with the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.
13. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
14. Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level. Add more oil if necessary.
Tips:
- Be sure to use the correct oil filter and oil for your vehicle.
- If you are not comfortable changing the oil pump yourself, you can take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic.
- Changing the oil pump is a relatively easy job that can be completed in about an hour.
