1.) Gather the necessary tools and materials:
- New fuel filter
- Fuel line disconnect tool
- Wrench
- Fuel injection cleaner
- Safety glasses
2.) Prepare the vehicle:
- Ensure that the engine is cool and the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
- Engage the parking brake.
3.) Locate the fuel filter:
- The fuel filter is located under the vehicle, near the fuel tank.
- It is a cylindrical-shaped part with two fuel lines connected to it.
4.) Disconnect the fuel lines:
- Use the fuel line disconnect tool to disconnect the two fuel lines from the fuel filter.
- Be careful not to spill any fuel.
5.) Remove the fuel filter:
- Use the wrench to loosen the fuel filter's mounting bolts/clamps.
- Remove the fuel filter from the vehicle.
6.) Install the new fuel filter:
- Place the new fuel filter in the same position as the old one.
- Tighten the mounting bolts/clamps.
- Reconnect the fuel lines.
7.) Start the engine:
- Turn the key to the "On" position and allow the fuel pump to run for a few seconds.
- Start the engine.
- If the engine starts and runs smoothly, the fuel filter was replaced successfully.

- If the engine does not start after replacing the fuel filter, you may need to:
- Clean the fuel injectors using a fuel injection cleaner.
- Check the fuel pressure.
- Check the ignition system.
