What is an idle motor?
An idle motor is an electric motor that is not connected to any load and is therefore running without doing any work. In this state, the motor is still consuming electricity, but it is not producing any useful output. An idle motor can still generate heat and make noise, but it is not doing any actual work. Idle motors are often a source of energy waste in industrial and commercial settings, and it is important to minimize their use as much as possible.
