How do you replace fuel pump on a 1995 dodge avenger?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement fuel pump

- Fuel line wrench

- Flathead screwdriver

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Socket set

- Rags

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

Instructions:

1. Park the vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine. Allow the vehicle to cool down completely.

2. Locate the fuel pump. The fuel pump is usually located under the rear seat of the vehicle.

3. Remove the fuel pump access panel. The access panel is usually held in place with a few screws. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws and then lift the access panel off.

4. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel pump. Use a fuel line wrench to loosen the fuel line connections and then pull the lines off of the fuel pump. Be careful not to spill any fuel.

5. Remove the fuel pump mounting bolts. Use a socket set to remove the bolts that hold the fuel pump in place.

6. Lift the fuel pump out of the tank. Be careful not to drop the fuel pump into the tank.

7. Inspect the fuel pump for damage. Look for any signs of damage, such as cracks or leaks. If the fuel pump is damaged, it should be replaced.

8. Install the new fuel pump. Place the new fuel pump into the tank and then replace the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.

9. Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel pump. Use a fuel line wrench to tighten the fuel line connections.

10. Replace the fuel pump access panel. Place the access panel back on the vehicle and then replace the screws.

11. Turn on the engine and check for leaks. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks from the fuel pump. If there are any leaks, tighten the fuel line connections until the leaks stop.

12. Test the fuel pump. Drive the vehicle around for a few minutes to test the fuel pump. Make sure the engine is running smoothly and that there are no problems with the fuel delivery.
