1. Lift the hood of your Xsara Picasso and locate the fuel pump relay.
2. Disconnect the fuel pump relay. The fuel pump relay is usually located in the engine compartment, near the battery. It is a small, black box with several wires attached to it.
3. Disconnect one of the fuel injector harness’. The fuel injector harnesses are located on the top of the engine, near the fuel rail. They are small, black connectors with two wires attached to them.
4. Turn the engine over. This will drain the remaining fuel from the fuel lines and prevent the engine from starting.
5. Reconnect the fuel pump relay and fuel injector harness, when you want the vehicle to run again.
