Where are the timing marks on Renault scenic sport 1600 cc x reg petrol?

Camshaft Timing Marks

1. Remove the camshaft cover.

2. Rotate the engine until the crankshaft timing mark is aligned with the "0" mark on the timing belt cover.

3. The camshaft timing marks should now be visible on the camshaft gears.

4. The intake camshaft timing mark is a small dot located on the gear tooth directly below the camshaft bearing cap.

5. The exhaust camshaft timing mark is a small dot located on the gear tooth directly above the camshaft bearing cap.

Crankshaft Timing Mark

The crankshaft timing mark is a small notch located on the crankshaft pulley. It is aligned with the "0" mark on the timing belt cover when the engine is at top dead center (TDC).

To align the timing marks, follow these steps:

1. Rotate the engine until the crankshaft timing mark is aligned with the "0" mark on the timing belt cover.

2. Check that the camshaft timing marks are aligned with the marks on the camshaft gears.

3. If the timing marks are not aligned, adjust the timing belt tension and repeat steps 1 and 2.
