- Replacement air filter
Instructions
1. Locate the MAF sensor attached to the air filter housing. It’s usually held in place with two or three Phillips head screws.
2. Disconnect the wiring connector from the MAF sensor.
3. Remove the screws from the MAF sensor. If the screws are rusted, apply some penetrating oil to loosen them up.
4. Once the screws are removed, carefully remove the MAF sensor from the housing.
5. Clean the MAF sensor with a dry cloth or a can of compressed air. Be careful not to damage the fragile sensor.
6. Insert the new MAF sensor into the air filter housing. Be careful not to damage the sensor.
7. Secure the new MAF sensor with the screws that you removed earlier.
8. Reconnect the wiring connector to the MAF sensor.
9. Start the engine and verify that the MAF sensor is working correctly. You should hear the engine idle smoothly.
10. Check for air leaks around the MAF sensor. If you find any leaks, seal them with silicone sealant.
11. Clean the air filter and replace it if necessary.
