The IAT sensor is located in the air intake tube, just before the throttle body. It is a small, cylindrical sensor with a wire coming out of it. The sensor is held in place by a plastic clip.
To remove the IAT sensor, simply disconnect the wire harness and pull the sensor out of the intake tube. Be careful not to damage the sensor or the intake tube.
Here are the steps on how to replace the IAT sensor on a 2007 Ford F-150 XLT:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Locate the IAT sensor. It is located in the air intake tube, just before the throttle body.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the IAT sensor.
Remove the bolt that holds the IAT sensor in place.
Remove the IAT sensor from the air intake tube.
Install the new IAT sensor.
Replace the bolt that holds the IAT sensor in place.
Connect the electrical connector to the IAT sensor.
Reconnect the negative battery cable.
Start the engine and check for leaks.
