1. Pliers
2. Rag or Shop Towel
3. Replacement Oil Filler Tube (if necessary)
Step-by-Step instructions:
1. Park your car in a safe location, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Open your car's hood.
3. Locate the oil filler tube. It is usually a black or silver tube located on the left side of the engine compartment, towards the back. There is a hose connecting to the oil filler tube.
4. Remove the hose from the oil filler tube. You may need to use pliers to loosen the hose clamp.
5. Once the hose is removed, you can remove the oil filler tube by pulling it straight up. It may be necessary to use a bit of force to break the seal between the tube and the engine block.
6. Clean the oil filler tube and the surrounding area with a rag or shop towel.
7. If you are replacing the oil filler tube, insert the new tube into the engine block and secure it with the hose clamp.
8. Reconnect the hose to the oil filler tube and re-tighten the hose clamp.
9. Close the hood of the car.
