1. Park your car on level ground and turn off the engine.
Make sure the car has been sitting for at least 5 minutes so that the oil has had время стечь в масляный поддон.
2. Open the hood.
Locate the hood release lever inside your car, usually near the driver's left footwell. Pull the lever to release the hood and then lift it up and prop it open with the hood prop rod.
3. Locate the oil dipstick.
The oil dipstick on your C230 Kompressor is located on the right side of the engine compartment, near the back. It is a long, thin stick with a yellow handle.
4. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean.
Use a clean cloth or paper towel to wipe the oil off of the dipstick.
5. Insert the dipstick back into the engine.
Push the dipstick back into the hole until it is fully seated.
6. Pull out the dipstick again and check the oil level.
The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If the oil level is low, you will need to add oil to your engine.
7. Check the oil quality.
The oil on the dipstick should be clear and amber-colored. If the oil is dark or cloudy, it means that it is old and needs to be changed.
8. Reinsert the dipstick and close the hood.
Ensure the dipstick is securely inserted back into its tube, then close the hood of your car.
