1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the gearbox speed sensor. It is usually located on the top of the gearbox, near the front.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
4. Use a suitable wrench to loosen the sensor retaining bolt.
5. Remove the sensor from the gearbox. Be careful not to drop the sensor.
6. Inspect the sensor for any damage or corrosion. If the sensor is damaged, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
9. Start the engine and test the gearbox speed sensor. The sensor should send a signal to the ECU, which will then display the vehicle's speed on the speedometer.
