How do you remove the wiper arm from a Toyota Previa?

To replace a wiper blade on a Toyota Previa, you must first remove the wiper arm. Here are the steps provided by Toyota to remove the wiper arm:

Driver Side

1. To remove the wiper arm from the driver's side, set the blade in a vertical position. Locate the spring cover in the middle of the wiper arm and remove it.

2. Push down on the spring hook and pull the arm straight up and off the splined shaft.

Passenger Side

1. To remove the wiper arm from the passenger side, set the blade in a vertical position and turn the wiper motor on to intermittent mode. Turn off the ignition.

2. When the wiper blade is almost at the top of the windshield, turn off the ignition and locate the spring cover in the middle of the wiper arm and remove it.

3. Push down on the spring hook and pull the arm straight up and off the splined shaft.
