Who invented the f15?
The F-15 Eagle was designed by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) in the United States. The concept for the F-15 emerged in the late 1960s when the United States Air Force (USAF) sought a new air superiority fighter aircraft. Initial design work began in 1969, and the first prototype made its maiden flight in July 1972. After undergoing development and testing, the F-15A entered service with the USAF in 1976. Production of the F-15 continued until 2001, with over 1,100 aircraft manufactured. Today, the F-15 remains in active service with various air forces around the world.
