How fast can a army tank go?
The speed of an army tank varies greatly depending on its design, weight, and engine power. Generally, main battle tanks are capable of reaching speeds of 35 to 70 kilometers per hour (22 to 43 miles per hour) on roads, while lighter reconnaissance tanks can reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour (50 miles per hour). However, these speeds are only achievable on smooth, paved roads, and tanks are much slower in rough terrain or off-road conditions. Some of the fastest tanks in the world include the German Leopard 2 (70 km/h), the American M1 Abrams (68 km/h), and the French Leclerc (72 km/h).
