* A screwdriver

* A new timing chain
* 2 new timing chain guides
1. Park your Timberwolf on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the right side engine cover.
4. Remove the spark plug.
5. Insert a screwdriver into the spark plug hole and turn the engine over until the piston is at top dead center (TDC).
6. Loosen the cam chain tensioner bolt and remove the tensioner.
7. Remove the cam chain from the sprockets.
8. Remove the old timing chain guides.
9. Install the new timing chain guides and cam chain.
10. Reinstall the cam chain tensioner and bolt.
11. Turn the engine over by hand to ensure that the timing chain is properly tensioned.
12. Reinstall the spark plug.
13. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
14. Start the engine and allow it to warm up to operating temperature.
15. Check for leaks and adjust the cam chain tension if necessary.
Your timing chain is now changed and your Timberwolf 250 should be running smoothly again.
