When to change valves in a king quad 700 suzuki?

Valve Clearance Inspection Intervals

The valve clearance should be checked every 26,000 km (16,000 miles), and adjusted if necessary.

To check the valve clearance, you will need the following tools:

* A feeler gauge

* A 10mm socket

* A 12mm socket

* A 14mm socket

* A long extension

* A ratchet

* A screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Remove the seat and fuel tank.

2. Remove the valve cover.

3. Position the piston for inspection of valve number one. To position number 1 piston place transmission in gear and rotate rear tire forward until the intake valve fully opens and closes as the piston comes to top dead center.

4. Insert the feeler gauge between the cam lobe and the tappet. The clearance should be between 0.08mm and 0.12mm (0.0031" and 0.0047").

5. If the clearance is not within specifications, you will need to adjust the valves.

6. To adjust the valves, you will need to use the 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm sockets, and the long extension.

7. Loosen the lock nut on the valve adjuster (using 10mm socket) and turn the adjuster screw (using 12mm socket) until the clearance is within specifications.

8. Tighten the lock nut.

9. Repeat steps 4-8 for the other valves.

10. Reinstall the valve cover and seat and fuel tank.

Note: It is important to check the valve clearance on a cold engine.
