- Oil drain pan
- Funnel
- Wrench

Steps:
Preparation:
1. Make sure the motorcycle is in a stable and upright position.
Changing the Oil Filter:
2. Locate the oil filter near the engine. In the VS 800, it is usually housed in a cylindrical canister in front of the engine.
3. Place the oil drain pan underneath the oil filter to catch any dripping oil.
4. Using the appropriate wrench, carefully loosen the oil filter bolt or cap.
5. Once loosened, use your hands to unscrew the oil filter. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the oil pan.
6. Clean the sealing surface of the oil filter housing and lubricate the new filter's gasket lightly with new oil.
7. Carefully screw on the new oil filter by hand. Do not overtighten; tighten only until snug.
Changing the Engine Oil:
8. Locate the engine oil drain plug or bolt on the bottom of the engine crankcase. Place the oil drain pan underneath it.
9. Using the appropriate wrench, carefully loosen and remove the engine oil drain plug or bolt. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the oil pan.
10. Once the oil has drained, replace the drain plug or bolt and tighten it securely.
11. Remove the oil filler cap or plug at the top of the engine.
Add New Oil:
12. Using a funnel, carefully pour the recommended amount of new engine oil into the oil filler hole.
13. Check the oil level using the oil dipstick located near the oil filler hole. Ensure the oil level is between the "FULL" and "LOW" marks on the dipstick.
Clean Up:
14. Clean any spilled oil from the motorcycle using rags.
Test Ride:
15. Take a short test ride to check for any leaks and ensure the oil level is still within the recommended range.
