1. Warm the engine up, then turn it off.
2. Locate the oil filter.
- 650: Left crankcase cover
- 750: Right side of engine
3. Position an oil pan under the engine’s oil drain plug.
4. Remove the drain plug and washer, allowing oil to drain from the engine.
5. Once the oil has drained, reinstall the drain plug and washer, tightening until snug.
6. Remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
7. Apply a thin coating of clean engine oil to the new oil filter's gasket.
8. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug, but do not overtighten.
9. Fill the oil reservoir to its full mark using the appropriate amount of oil as stated in your owner's manual.
10. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, then check the oil level again.
11. If the oil level is low, add more oil until it reaches the full mark.
