How do you change the spark plugs on a 2001 Cadillac Seville SLS?

Tools and materials needed:

- Spark plug socket wrench

- Extension bar

- Spark plugs

- Dielectric grease

- Rag

- Gloves

- Ratchet

Instructions:

1. Park the car in a safe location and allow the engine to cool down completely.

2. Put on your gloves to protect your hands.

3. Open the hood of your car.

4. Locate the spark plug wires. They are usually black or dark blue and are connected to the spark plugs at one end and to the ignition coil at the other end.

5. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs by pulling them straight up. Be careful not to damage the wires.

6. Use the spark plug socket wrench and extension bar to loosen and remove the old spark plugs. Be careful not to drop them into the engine.

7. Inspect the old spark plugs for wear and damage. If they are worn or damaged, replace them.

8. Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the threads of the new spark plugs. This will help prevent them from seizing in the engine.

9. Screw the new spark plugs into the engine by hand until they are snug.

10. Use the spark plug socket wrench and extension bar to tighten the new spark plugs. Do not over-tighten the spark plugs, as this could damage the engine.

11. Reconnect the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.

12. Close the hood of your car.
