Valve setting 15.5 hp yard machine mower?

To set the valve clearance on a 15.5 HP Yard Machine mower, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the mower and let it cool.

2. Disconnect the spark plug wire.

3. Remove the valve cover.

4. Check the valve clearance using a feeler gauge. the clearance should be 0.004-0.005 inches (0.10-0.13 mm) for both intake and exhaust valves.

5. If necessary, adjust the valve clearance by loosening the valve adjusting screw and turning the adjusting screw in or out until the proper clearance is achieved

6. Tighten the valve adjusting screw.

7. Replace the valve cover.

8. Connect the spark plug wire.

9. Start the mower and check for proper operation.

NOTE: If you are uncomfortable performing this procedure, you can take your mower to a qualified technician.
