Where is the dipstick on Yamaha v star 1100?

There is no dipstick on a Yamaha v star 1100. To check your oil, you will need to remove the oil filter cover. The oil filter is located on the right side of the engine. Once you remove the oil filter cover, you will see the oil sight glass. The oil level should be between the upper and lower marks on the sight glass.
