- APhillips-head screwdriver
- A flat-head screwdriver
- A 4mm Allen wrench
- A carburretor synchronizer
- A tachometer
- A fuel tank with fresh gasoline
1. Park the bike on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Remove the air filter cover and the air filter.
3. Loosen the clamps on the intake boots and remove the boots from the carburettors.
4. Remove the four Phillips-head screws that hold the carburettors in place.
5. Carefully lift the carburettors off of the engine.
6. Inspect the carburettors for any damage. If any damage is found, the carburettors should be repaired or replaced.
7. Clean the carburettors with a carburettor cleaner and a soft cloth.
8. Reinstall the carburettors onto the engine. Tighten the four Phillips-head screws until they are snug.
9. Reinstall the intake boots and tighten the clamps.
10. Reinstall the air filter and the air filter cover.
11. Connect the carburretor synchronizer to the carburettors.
12. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.
13. Adjust the idle mixture screws until the engine is idling smoothly.
14. Adjust the throttle stop screws until the engine is idling at the desired speed.
15. Check the carburretor synchronization and adjust as necessary.
16. Test ride the bike to make sure that the carburettors are properly adjusted.
