Kick back on lawn mower engine?

A kickback occurs on a lawn mower engine when the blade rapidly spins the opposite directions the engine normally operates. Kickback causes the motor to engage unexpectedly, usually when an individual attempts to disengage the mower deck by depressing or releasing its control lever.
