1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the seat and fuel tank.
3. Remove the starter cover.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter.
5. Remove the starter bolts and remove the starter.
6. Install the new starter.
7. Reinstall the starter bolts.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the starter.
9. Reinstall the starter cover.
10. Reinstall the fuel tank and seat.
11. Reconnect the battery.

- When removing the starter cover, be careful not to drop any of the bolts.
- When installing the new starter, make sure to tighten the bolts securely.
- If you are having trouble removing the starter, you can use a pry bar to help you.
- Be sure to use the correct size wrench or socket when removing and installing the starter bolts.
