1998–present: The Yamaha Grizzly was first introduced in 1998 as the Yamaha Big Bear 400 4x4. It was a four-wheel-drive all-terrain vehicle (ATV) powered by a 398 cc single-cylinder engine. In 2002, the Grizzly was updated with a new engine, frame, and suspension. It was also given a new name, the Yamaha Grizzly 450 4x4. The Grizzly 450 was produced until 2008.
