1. Remove the exhaust baffles. To do this, you will need to remove the exhaust pipes from the motorcycle. On the 2007 FLHT, the exhaust pipes are held in place by two bolts on each side. Once the bolts are removed, you can pull the exhaust pipes off of the motorcycle. The baffles are located inside the exhaust pipes. They are held in place by a single bolt on each side. Remove the bolts and pull the baffles out of the exhaust pipes.
2. Drill out the baffles. Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the holes in the baffles. Drill a series of holes around the circumference of each baffle. The number of holes you drill will depend on how loud you want the exhaust to be.
3. Reinstall the baffles. Insert the baffles back into the exhaust pipes and reinstall the bolts.
4. Reinstall the exhaust pipes. Slide the exhaust pipes back onto the motorcycle and reinstall the bolts.
5. Remap the ECM. In order to get the best performance from your motorcycle with the drilled-out baffles, you will need to remap the ECM. This can be done by a qualified motorcycle mechanic.
Once the ECM has been remapped, your motorcycle will have a louder, more aggressive exhaust note.
