1. Gather Materials:
- Motor oil (SAE 10W-50 or as recommended in your ATV's owner's manual).
- Funnel
- Clean rag
- Safety goggles
2. Prepare for Oil Change:
- Park your ATV on level ground and turn off the engine.
- Allow the engine to cool down.
3. Locate the Oil Fill Plug:
- The oil fill plug is usually located on the top or side of the engine. It may have a "motor oil" or "oil fill" label near it.
4. Remove the Oil Fill Plug:
- Use the appropriate tool (usually a wrench or hex key) to loosen and remove the oil fill plug.
5. Insert the Funnel:
- Place the funnel into the oil fill hole.
6. Add Oil:
- Slowly pour the recommended amount of motor oil into the funnel.

7. Check the Oil Level:
- Use the dipstick to check the oil level. The oil level should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
8. Replace the Oil Fill Plug:
- Once the oil level is correct, remove the funnel and replace the oil fill plug. Tighten the plug securely.
9. Clean Up:
- Use a clean rag to wipe up any spilled oil.
10. Start the Engine:
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. This will circulate the new oil throughout the engine.
11. Recheck the Oil Level:
- After a few minutes, turn off the engine and recheck the oil level using the dipstick. Make sure the oil level is still between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
12. Dispose of Old Oil:
- Properly dispose of the old engine oil according to local regulations.
