- Socket wrench set
- Rags
- Antifreeze funnel
Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and allow the engine to cool.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the coolant temperature sensor. It is typically located on the thermostat housing or cylinder head. It has two wires running to a connector plug.
4. Disconnect the connector plug from the sensor.
5. Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolt holding the sensor in place.
6. Remove the sensor and be prepared for some coolant to leak out. Wipe up any spills with a rag.
7. Install the new sensor. Tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
8. Reconnect the connector plug.
9. Close the hood of your car.
