Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative terminal.
3. Raise the front of your car using a jack and place it on jack stands.
4. Remove the right front wheel.
5. Remove the plastic undertray to access the alternator.
6. Loosen the serpentine belt tensioner and remove the belt.
7. Remove the alternator mounting bolts and remove the alternator from the car.
8. Install the new alternator by reversing the previous steps.
9. Adjust the serpentine belt tensioner and reinstall the belt.
10. Reinstall the plastic undertray and the right front wheel.
11. Lower the car and reconnect the battery.
Tips:
- Make sure that the car is in gear before you apply the parking brake.
- When loosening the serpentine belt tensioner, be careful not to drop the bolt into the engine bay.
- If the alternator is seized, you may need to use a pry bar to remove it from the car.
