The water pump is driven by the timing belt, so you'll need to locate it first. On the Fiat Bravo, the timing belt is located at the front of the engine, behind the crankshaft pulley.
2. Remove the timing belt cover.
To remove the timing belt cover, you'll need to remove a few bolts. Once the bolts are removed, you can pry the cover off with a screwdriver or flathead wrench.
3. Locate the water pump.
The water pump is located at the bottom of the timing belt cover, on the left side of the engine block. It's a cylindrical-shaped part with a pulley on the front.
4. Remove the water pump bolts.
There are three bolts holding the water pump in place. Once the bolts are removed, you can carefully pull the water pump off the engine block.
5. Inspect the water pump.
Before installing the new water pump, inspect the old one for any signs of damage or wear. If you see any cracks, leaks, or other damage, you'll need to replace the water pump.
6. Install the new water pump.
To install the new water pump, simply reverse the steps you took to remove the old one. Make sure to tighten the bolts securely.
7. Replace the timing belt cover.
Replace the timing belt cover and bolts.
8. Refill the coolant.
Refill the coolant system to the proper level.
