1. Park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the oil filter housing on the top of the engine (rear of engine, right side). It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap.
4. Use an oil filter wrench to loosen and remove the oil filter cap.
5. Remove the old oil filter from the housing.
6. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
7. Screw on the new oil filter by hand until it is snug.
8. Use the oil filter wrench to tighten the oil filter cap.
9. Lower the hood of your car and dispose of the old oil filter properly.
